Having gained an honours degree in Art and Design, concentrating on Ceramics, I had no idea it would be nearly twenty years before I would start working with clay again. I work from my home pottery in Pontypridd, South Wales with a view of my garden and have been influenced by my natural surroundings.
All of my pieces are either hand thrown or hand built. The process ensures that I have to concentrate entirely on the piece in hand, losing myself in the build. The more complex the item is the more it consumes my thoughts.
Every piece is individual, from the make, down to the glazing or smoke firing process, no two pieces will ever be the same.
